Steve Wagner, Forum News Service director
Steve Wagner is an experienced editor and journalist. Before joining the Forum News Service, Steve worked as a reporter in the Twin Cities, Iowa and The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, where he primarily served as an investigative and crime reporter. He held various newsroom management roles at The Forum before working as editor for the Bemidji (Minn.) Pioneer and later the Grand Forks Herald. Steve graduated from North Dakota State University. He is an avid runner, occasionally writing for his Addicted to Running blog, and enjoys sports and playing guitar in his spare time.

Veteran journalist Barry Amundson is night editor and a reporter for Forum News Service. He started his journalism career writing sports in high school in Windom in southwestern Minnesota and has spent most of his career at daily papers in Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota and North Dakota. Before joining the Forum News Service in Fargo in the fall of 2014, he was a reporter for the Tri-State Neighbor farm newspaper based out of Sioux Falls and traveled extensively throughout the state. He also was a longtime employee of the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls. He graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato and also worked on his master’s in communications from North Dakota State University. He is originally from the Fargo area, but also likes to call South Dakota his home.
Rob Beer is a copy editor for Forum News Service in Fargo. The Princeton, Minn., native and 1993 Minnesota State University Moorhead graduate began working for The Forum in 1991 as a part-time sports clerk and reporter. In college, he was the sports editor of The Advocate at MSUM for three years. He then worked as sports writer at the New Ulm (Minn.) Journal and the sports editor at the Huron Daily Plainsman before returning to The Forum in 1995. He has held various positions with The Forum, including assistant sports editor, presentation editor and online editor. He joined Forum News Service in 2016. He lives in Fargo with his wife and two boys, and spends part of his spare time playing golf and other activities.

Don Davis began covering state government while studying journalism at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, in the early 1970s. Following government and politics was a major part of his jobs as editor of Iowa, Oklahoma and Wyoming daily newspapers for the first 15 years of his career. Don then left the editor’s desk behind, devoting full time to reporting and photography, mostly focusing on politics. He has worked for Forum Communications Co. since 2001, covering Minnesota government and politics, after similar jobs for Bismarck, N.D., and Rochester, Minn., newspapers. At Forum News Service, he works in the Minnesota Capitol pressroom, where he is one of the senior reporters.
Robb Jeffries is a copy editor/reporter for Forum News Service based in Minneapolis. While his primary focus is energy/infrastructure and statewide news, he also does sports and features reporting in the Twin Cities. Jeffries previously worked as a news and sports copy editor, reporter and videographer at the Grand Forks (N.D.) Herald and as an editor of the Dakota Student at the University of North Dakota. When not tracking down the latest news in the Upper Midwest, Jeffries spends his time tinkering his fantasy football lineup and in pursuit of the perfect brunch spot.
